1 post " QUOTE"

"The best thing,in that museum was that everything always stayed right where it was. Nobody'd move. You could go there a hundred thousand times, and that Eskimo would still be just finished catching those two fish, the birds would still be on their way south, the deers would still be drinking out of that water hole, with their pretty antlers and their pretty, skinny legs, and that squaw with the naked bosom would still be weaving that same blanket. Nobody'd de different. The only thing that would be different would be you."

In the chapter 16, i think that we cans see a little changement of Houlden because he keep thinking of his meeting with the nuns and is sad because they never went anywhere. After that he watch this family going out of church. This family who he poor, Houlden feel bad for those children who wants to go see a movie. I feel it's like Houlden start to care of poeple problem and not just of him. I choose this quote because it says that nobody would be different and that the only thing that would be different would be you. I feel like Houlden is reconizing himself in this phrase. Like if he would be the only person to be different. I think he choose this quote because he would like that nobody could move or be different because of his depression and his problem it's like he feels that it would be easier to be like those statue in the museum.
